The LCD screen has a 15.0 inch viewable area, with 1,024 x 768 maximum resolution. With a contrast ratio of 300:1, the display is crisp, with intuitive onscreen manager to adjust contrast, brightness, and other controls. XtraView+ technology permits wide-angle viewing--170 degrees horizontal and vertical.

With Ambix technology, the monitor is ahead of the game with digital or analog system capabilities, via a single DVI-I connector. An analog input is also available, via a 15-pin VGA connector, for connection with 13W3 connectors found on many Sun computers. The dual-input capabilities ensure that the monitor is compatible with both today's computers and future digital output machines.

The sleek black casing and base keep the monitor stable even when the screen is tilted at its extremes, 85 degrees in any direction. With an extendable, height-adjustable stand, the monitor maximizes your limited desktop space.

got worse and worse.......2005-02-11

About a year ago, a black horizontal line showed up on the screen and never went away. Since then, more and more have shown up. Now I have 23 black lines going across the whole screen, each one pixel wide. The monitor has now begun to flicker randomly, so I've about had it with this thing. I emailed NEC and they basically said I could pay to have them try to fix it. There are a lot newer and better models out there, so don't bother with this piece of junk.
