Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Makes calls, but does little else.......2006-08-02

I bought this phone because I was desperate...my beautiful LG broke, I was not able to get a new one from my cell plan, and I needed a phone. I found this unlocked phone online cheap, so I decided to give it a try.

Well, it makes and receives calls. It's a flip phone, and it's compact. That's about all I can say for it. If you need something as a backup phone, it's great, but don't expect any special features. The lack of an alarm clock is especially annoying.

Also, getting the phone to charge takes major effort. My phone was new when I received it, and I still find myself having to manipulate the charger jack several times to get it to charge up.

In hindsight, I think I should have purchased something else.

4 out of 5 stars Decent phone, with one stellar feature.......2006-01-07

Ever notice how everyone screams into their cell phones? This is because, unlike landlines, you don't hear yourself speaking in the earpiece. This phone has the unusual feature of letting you hear yourself talk. My wife reports that I sound as good on this phone as a land line. Otherwise, the phone is unexceptional. Mine belongs to my company, and has been used by others in the past. It's definitely showing some body flex, and the battery needs to be recharged daily. It'd get three stars if it wasn't for the suond quality and surprising feature.

5 out of 5 stars Its a nice phone.......2005-09-01

I like this v66 it is small pocket sized and it is cute.I also get good reseption in all areas and the phone have nice rings and games.

4 out of 5 stars It's a phone ... a simple phone.......2005-06-17

that's what it is ... and frankly that's what a cell phone is primarily for ... isn't it?

The Mot V66 is a small sized phone ... sometimes so small that it barely fits in the perimeter of your ear :) ... its size is a double edged sword which you will probably like it and hate it at times.

I have used this one and the V60 and I like em both. For the same service (T-Mobile) in the same area the V66 has not dropped a single call in 2 years. It's an inexpensive phone which again can be its achilles heel. WARNING: You can expect to sometimes become insecure while using this in public places as people WILL notice. So if you are a person who depends on others for security don't ever think of owning this one.

These days anyways cell phones with much better features are being offered at the same price so you won't have a problem with choices.

BTW I gave it 4 stars because I think motorola could have done better in the color, display and material quality segments.

5 out of 5 stars Best phone I've ever used!.......2005-06-02

I have been using V66 for 2 years. It has been the best phone I have ever had. Although I have just received a new V188 I am still using V66. I have not had any problems with this phone. It is small for pocket and easy to operate. It also has a nice loud tone which is a bliss in crowded areas.
