Memorex's external 52x-write, 32x rewrite, and 52x-read CD-R/CD-RW drive (model 32023261) is outfitted with a high-speed USB 2.0 interface to permit some of the fastest burning available: you can have a full, 80-minute CD in hand in just 1.5 minutes. (The drive is operable with USB 1.1 PCs, at accordingly lower transfer rates.) The drive uses innovative SMART-Burn technology by Lite-On to monitor media quality, prevent buffer underrun, and set the burning speed for optimal writing. Supplied software includes Nero 5.5 (an all-in-one audio-editing and CD-burning tool) and Ahead Software's InCD (a packet-writing program that formats rewritable discs so they can be used like large diskettes)--everything you need to create music, data, multimedia, and backup CDs.
