The Pacific Digital 161040ei internal CD-ReWriter is an internal EIDE CD-R/RW drive. Capable of reading CD media at up to 6 MBps and recording at 2.4 MBps, this is a high-speed, multifunction device capable of replacing your current CD-ROM drive.
This drive supports CD-R/RW media up to 700 MB or 74 minutes of music. Quickly back up media files or critical documents, or burn your own compilation CD. Or, back up your CD collection to MP3; fit more than 10 hours of MP3 audio on a single 700 MB CD-R.
Pacific Digital uses an automatic speed control that selects the best recording speed for the current disk's capability and recording conditions. Combining this, a 2 MB buffer memory, CAV writing support, and powerful recording software, buffer underruns and unusable CD "coasters" become a thing of the past.
