Audiovox D15000B is a portable DVD and CD Player with a built-in 5-inch (diagonal) LCD screen with an aspect-ratio of 4:3. At first notice, when closed, it's almost about the size of a personal CD player (about a 1/2" thicker). It's powered by a built-in rechargeable battery that can provide a little over 2 hours of play per charge. It also comes with an AC adapter for charging battery and for use at home. But, let's face it, some times you want to take this player in the car (it's really good to entertain the kids on long trips) so there's a cable that lets you power the D15000B from your car's DC cigarette lighter plug. There are built-in stereo speakers plus a headphone jack allowing the option of private listening. When connected to your home home-theater sound system, the D15000B can also deliver Virtual Surround Sound. This little player is really a must-have for your self and as a gift. The player features a 5-inch, 4:3 aspect ratio LCD and compatibility with DVD-Video, VCD, audio CD, CD-R, CD-RW, and MP3-encoded discs. Take your favorite movies and music on the plane, on the bus, or even in the car for the kids--a supplied DC vehicle adapter lets you power the unit right from your dashboard cigarette lighter. The unit also includes a slim remote control for hassle-free operation in tight quarters.
A handy feature called chapter preview, active in resume mode, displays the first 3 seconds of each previously viewed chapter, then rolls into normal playback once it reaches the position where you'd previously stopped the disc.
Composite- and S-video and stereo analog-audio outputs let you hook the player up to your other audio/video gear for viewing on your TV. Route a Dolby Digital or DTS 5.1-channel surround signal from the player's digital-audio output to a compatible audio/video receiver to lose yourself in luscious surround sound from your favorite movies and concert videos.
The supplied rechargeable battery provide up to 3 hours of playback (power consumption depends on the operations of the player, such as screen brightness, volume level, etc).
Playback options include frame-by -frame slow motion, picture zoom, and multiple angle viewing (with applicable discs). Headphones are not included, but the player offers built-in stereo speakers for headphones-free listening.
