Amazon.com Product Description
The New York Times says it's "a handheld that packs more features on one screen ... with its sleek user interface." BusinessWeek calls it the "handheld for technophobes. Plain and simple. A lot simpler than Palm."
The FUGA lets you enter and review your calendar, to-do-list, checklist and notes in One View! You only have to enter to-dos once and they automatically roll over the next day. You can retrieve names and contact info, set alarms, print summary reports, and synchronize and back up the eDiary with your PC. You can also calculate billing time, expenses, and mileage logs--all from One View!
How does it work? FUGA Corporation introduces VuOne, the patented interface that allows you to enter, sort, find, calculate, or navigate assorted personal data all within a single viewing screen. Without a clutter of menus, buttons, and icons, VuOne eliminates the need to bounce back and forth from date book to address book to expense book, for example. Instead, VuOne provides access to all functions on one screen, with natural and easy operation.
Developed with the belief that an electronic organizer should work the way people do, VuOne offers an interface so easy to use that most users don't even need a manual to begin using the FUGA eDiary. And as the Frost & Sullivan Report says, "Only time-saving products approaching simple complexity--at a low price--will entice consumers to toss their paper based organizers for electronic ones. And FUGA just might be the first in a long line to benefit from the consumer need for simplicity in an electronic organizer."

2001 bug.......2000-10-10
I bought this unit last year and was initially very happy with it. However, early in 2000 I discovered there was a bug in the 2.x units. The date and day of week will not line-up when the calendar rolls over to 2001. The manufacturer knows about the problem, but has not addressed how to fix the outstanding ones. My advice is to make sure you get one of the new ones, or else you will be very disappointed.
Not bad- but not a Palm.......2000-04-19
My husband got the Fuga to keep track of multiple appointments, etc. He wanted something easy to use and that would connect easily with Microsoft Outlook. After using the Fuga for 2 days, he became frustrated with it because the data did not directly transfer from Outlook, and that an export conversion process needed to occur. It was time consuming as he had to sync his handheld to Outlook several times a day due to his changing schedule. He ended up getting a Palm 3e and he enjoys it. I now use the Fuga. I do not need to sync up as often. I enjoy the fact that you can cross reference items and find things quickly. I do not like the "free software" for the desktop as it only shows the appointments you make, not an outline of the day. Both the Fuga and the software it comes with have some kinks- for example the address book section does not completely alphabatize- only the first two letters (I thought I was going nuts when I first noticed this. I emailed Fuga and they responed with an answer right away). Also the desk top software does not automatically roll over to do's. When I contacted Fuga about it, the reply I recieved stated that this was a "Free software" and it had some kinks some of them may be fixed but it was "free software". Implying since it was free it may or may not be fixed and one couldn't expect "free software" to be perfect. If in the future, if I get to where I need to keep track of more appointments- I will get a Palm. If you haven't purchased a PDA yet and interact frequently with your computer, go with a Palm. If you are mostly looking for an address book and list keeper, the Fuga does a fine job.
fuga ediary.......2000-04-08
I purchased this device and was very happy with it. I am a college student and was looking for a personal organizer. I found the ediary on Amazon and purchased it right away. It fit all my needs and would recommend it as an organizer to everybody who is looking for one.
Happy find!.......2000-02-03
Entering all information just once in "One View" (todos, clients, calls, appointments, phone numbers, notes, anniversaries, birthdays, expenses and mileage) in my eDiary and being able to cross-link and synchronize it with my PC makes me more effiecient...thus making my life less stressful and more fun. The size and price are right too. Since buying the eDiary several months ago all facets of my busy Realtor and personal lives are managed with convenience and ease. How very happy I am to have discovered this powerful little organizer!
FUGA eDiary: a PDA with a purpose.......2000-02-02
I like the FUGA eDiary because it doesn't try to be all things to all users. It DOES try (and succeed) to be an outstanding management tool, by compressing the functions of a large planning diary into a pocket-sized package. I have found that it is intuitive to use and has a huge appetite for data. It can be backed-up readily on a PC. It is stable and reliable, with readable (even funny!)documentation and excellent on-line and telephone support. It's a pleasure to own, and certainly an outstanding value for the price!
