Samsung's stylishly black DVD-R135 puts the power, quality, and convenience of digital video recording and playback at your fingertips. The stylish, slender component stands less than 2.5 inches tall but delivers everything from convenient DVD recording (write-once DVD-R and rewritable DVD-RW) to progressive-scan video and playback of MP3 music and JPEG digital-photo files. It's also an "upconverting" DVD player, which boosts the standard 480 lines of resolution from a DVD disc up to a high-def 1080i (interlaced) picture. This unit also offers CM (commercial) advance, enabling you to skip ads from recorded TV programming recorded.

A front-panel DV (FireWire IEEE 1394) input enables you to connect the family video camcorder and edit and record footage directly to a DVD disc--all via a single cable and without losing image quality. The EVQ (Enhanced Video Quality) feature provides sharper images and truer color reproduction for both movies and home videos. EVQ reduces pixel noise produced during digital signal processing, mitigates the cross color phenomenon occasionally produced by separation of Y & C signal.

You can program recording via the timer, or choose easy one-touch recording (initiating playback at 30 minutes and adding 30 minutes with each additional press of the button, up to the available disc time or 240 minutes, whichever is sooner). Chapters are created when you record your favorite TV show or video clips from a camcorder onto a DVD disc. The chapters are automatically created, which eliminates wasted time searching the whole DVD to find the right spot. Up to 99 titles can be recorded onto one disc. With the simple and easy edit function menu, you can delete, copy, rename, and lock, among other things. You can also create a playlist and edit video in a specific sequence.

Component video (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides separate connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for color information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or composite (RCA yellow video plug) connections. You will need a separate RCA left/right audio cable for sound.

Solved my BIG problem.......2002-10-18

An owner of two laptops, one old Windows 95 and a new Windows XP, I'd been frustrated trying to copy files between computers. When the old computer's floppy drive broke (the CD ROM was already broken) it seemed nearly impossible to copy the large number of files from one PC to the other. Several costly solutions were tried that did not work. At last I decided to try the Clik! drive. Following the painstaking process of emailing the installation files between PCs, the software installed flawlessly on the old PC, and worked immediately. After this, I was concerned I'd need a second software CD to operate it on the new PC, but it turned out to be plug and play. Happy Day!

The Clik! drive is almost as easy to use as a floppy. I was able to transfer all of the crucial files from the old PC, some of them large, to the new one with little effort. After being so pleased with this drive, I bought a second one, and additional discs. I'm one happy camper!

I purchased my new Clik drive a few weeks ago it works pretty good for its 'mini' size. Since I use my laptop mostly away from home and alot of places don't offer the space and comfort of home or the office, I want everything onboard the computer. My laptop is a replacement for my desktop so I expect all the functionality including the ability to stick something with more MBs than a floppy into it without the usually bulky add-on. It's a lot quieter than the Zip 250 I use on the other computer. I must say I'm impressed with what I've seen do far, the Clik appears to be a good buy. It'll be a while before I'm out of the 'show-off' phase.

I love the carrying case, I use mine for disks storage and the drive is always in the port where it sould be.

the The Iomega PC card works well with my new laptop. I did have to find another file to install the software included. no prblem just go to Iomega home site for software update. Finally I can transfer my music files from my desk top to my laptop . No docking station needed for music files. Just use the hipzip to load the music on the click disk and transfer to your laptop. Convient quick and easy!!!!

I have one of these drives and use it to free up some of my hard drive space. I truely am amazed at the ability and capacity of the Clik Drive. The only problem is... you can buy a new drive at about the same price as the used drive is listed at. All the same features and a whole lot cheaper. Just look around a little more for it else where.
