Perfect for smaller rooms or adding to your den's bookshelf, the JVC FSGD7 micro home theater component system offers a small footprint but 180 watts of total power output through two speakers. It features a 5-disc DVD player/changer that's compatible with a wide range of disc and file formats, including DVD-Audio, DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW, SVCD/VCD, MP3, and JPEG. And it offers selectable progressive-scan mode for smoother video with HD-compatible TVs (via the component video output). The center component measures 7.5 by 8.9 by 16 inches, while the two-way, bass reflex speakers (with 4.75-inch woofer and 1.6-inch tweeter) measure 6.5 by 11.45 by 9.4 inches.
The FSGD7 offers Dolby Digital and DTS decoding as well as a 24-bit/196 MHz audio DAC (digital to analog converter) and 10-bit/54 MHz video DAC. Other features include electronic bass/treble controls, programming for up to 99 tracks, sleep timer, wake-up volume, and a built-in radio tuner with 30 FM and 15 AM station memory. You can also connect virtually any USB-ready computer or audio device through the system's USB port. It provides the following connections:
