Tiny enough for a tote bag, RCA's DRC605N portable DVD player nevertheless delivers huge multimedia fun from its 5-inch LCD and onboard stereo speakers. The player's widescreen display matches the dimension of most DVDs, and the player is compatible with a terrific array of optical media formats, from DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW to MP3/mp3PRO-encoded recordable CDs, and JPEG image CDs. You can even play discs loaded with a mix of digital photos and MP3 music. Play it when you're out and about or use it at home--it's equally useful either way.
The player's rechargeable lithium battery provides 2.5 or more hours of viewing per charge. Plug 1 or 2 pairs of headphones (not included) for private listening--perfect for keeping the kids happy in the back seat while you listen to a CD or radio up front. A vehicle DC power adapter helps you conserve battery power when you're on the road, while electronic skip protection minimizes viewing and listening interruptions (4 seconds for DVD, 45 seconds for CD, and 120 seconds for MP3 CD).
When you're home, you can route both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround-sound signals through the player's optical digital-audio output for direct connection to a surround-decoding audio/video receiver (digital-audio interconnect not included). For video, the DRC605N offers S-video and standard composite-video outputs for hookup with your television (cables provided). A credit-card-sized remote control simplifies home use.
Playback features include disc/track/program repeat on CD and MP3, disc/title chapter/A-B repeat on DVD, random play, intro scan, parental lock, zoom-still/running, and JPEG file playback with rotation slide show capability. Further, the player offers MultiSpeed smooth scan and slow motion in forward and reverse, perfect still pictures, forward and reverse frame-by-frame advance and skip, and aspect-ratio correction (select from 4:3, 16:9 and letterbox).

The Data Express DE75 is a steel constructed drive carrier and receiving frame for internally mounting a low-profile (up to 1 inch high), 3.5 inch form factor SCSI or AT/IDE drive into any standard or undersized half-height, 5.25 inch peripheral bay.Data Express modules are ruggedly constructed and designed to protect today's high performance drives. Drive carrier lock and drive activity indicator light are standard features, and some family models also provide an ID select indicator and options for an enhanced, bus-isolating hot swap capability and/or a factory-installed solenoid drive lock.
