The slim-line, progressive scan Coby DVD-254 DVD player offers wide compatibility with today's disc formats and is compatible with both NTSC and PAL video color systems. Offering two-channel Dolby Digital audio output, the DVD-254 can play DVD+R/RW, DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW discs and MP3 files burned to disc in addition to standard DVD move and CD audio discs. DVD playback convenience options include multiple subtitles and viewing angles, picture zoom capability, an easy-to-navigate onscreen display, and parental locks. Component video (also called Y/Pb/Pr) features a three-jack video input, which provides separate connections for luminance (Y), blue color difference (PB) and red color difference (PR). This results in increased bandwidth for color information, resulting in a more accurate picture with clearer color reproduction and less bleeding than you would get with S-Video or composite (RCA yellow video plug) connections. You will need a separate RCA left/right audio cable for sound.
