This ambitious LCD ceiling monitor with a built-in DVD player appeals to backseat movie and video game aficionados, or anyone who wants to entertain their kids on long car trips. The 8.5-inch active matrix LCD screen broadcasts crisp, high-resolution 800 x 600 images in four modes--full, cinema, wide, and zoom--giving viewers multiple options for movie appreciation. The 4:3 monitor also swivels for adjustment so viewers don't have to argue over the best seat in the car. The model includes a built-in NTSC TV tuner, along with an FM transmitter for radio reception.
The TV is only half the story, however. The DVD player, which is built to absorb shocks from driving, is compatible with multiple formats, including DVD, CD, Super Video CD, Video CD, CD-R/RW, Double Video CD, and MP3. The DVD player enables enhanced audio through its Dolby Pro Logic and DTS compatibility.
Users can connect other components to the system through the AV output and the accessory AV input (ideal for game consoles or camcorders).
