Amazon.com Product Description
Watch movies the way they were meant to be viewed with the MPD720 portable DVD player from Magnavox. This lightweight player features a 7-inch LCD display with a theater-like 16:9 aspect ratio. A rechargeable battery can run the player for up to 3 hours, and you can plug it in anywhere for longer viewings. The MPD720 plays DVDs, CDs, MP3s, and more, so you can bring along all your favorite videos and music.

The screen on the MPD720 is a thin-film-transfer (TFT) display that generates clear images without adding unnecessary bulk to the portable player. While you can enjoy movies everywhere you go with the built-in screen, you can connect the player to any television to watch your DVDs on a bigger screen. The MPD720 features both composite and S-ideo connections to link the player to another TV.

The MPD720 plays DVDs and CDs (including discs burned on a computer), as well as VCDs. You can also play MP3s from CD-Rs and CD-RWs, and view digital JPEG photos. The MPD720 features built-in stereo speakers and a headphone jack for private viewing or listening. For even fuller sound, hook the player up to an audio receiver through the digital optical audio connection to experience rich surround sound.

The MPD720 can go anywhere you go. Use it at home by plugging the player into a wall outlet, or run it in the car with the DC power adapter. After watching a movie, the battery can be quickly and easily recharged with the included charger.

Customer Reviews:

3 out of 5 stars a handy tool; good value for the price.......2002-06-08

This Seiko Dictionary and Thesaurus is a great companion. Compared to a traditional dictionary and a thesaurus, it's less expensive, it's easier to carry, and has a better user interface.

I'm skeptical of the claim that it has 220,000 definitions. It is missing some words that are in my 60,000-word dictionary, such as "defenestrate" and "valetudinarian". In some cases, multiple entries refer to the same definition. (If you look up "volatility", you get the definition for "volatile".) Perhaps it has 220,000 _entries_, but not 220,000 definitions?

When I ordered this product from Amazon.com, it arrived with two sets of Spanish instructions and no English instructions. I contacted Seiko customer service about this three months ago and they promised me a set of English instructions. It never arrived, and now Seiko customer service doesn't even answer my e-mails.

Fortunately, the product is easy to figure out without instructions. :-)

In spite of the questionable number of definitions and the poor customer service, I give it a full 3 stars because it was so inexpensive.

4 out of 5 stars I carry it along with me everywhere.......2002-04-18

I have fun using Seiko's Word Power Personal Tutor. I like to articulate what I'm thinking, saying or writing; So I'm constantly using the spell checker and dictionary. The Q&A gets the brain moving - words that you wouldn't think about you have to figure how they relate to one of the mutliple choices. I like it and recommend it.

2 out of 5 stars Not very bright Dictionary.......2002-02-24

I received this dictionary as a gift. I am a reader and look up words I don't know. The idea was that I could carry this one around and look up the word at the very time I discovered one I didn't know.
Unfortunately, I believe too much brain space of the dictionary is taken up with games and such...which I don't use. NONE of the words I have looked up since Christmas are included. I have come to believe that if I need to look up the word, it isn't there.
A true disappointment.
Examples: defenstration, quintile, arisaid, circadian, neoprene.
I suggest A READER'S DICTIONARY with all the obscure words and none of the games. After all, a reader's entertainment is READING, not games.

Thank you!

5 out of 5 stars Fun, educational product!.......2002-02-22

This is a great, inexpensive little product!! It is compact and convenient to use. It is terrific for people who cannot spell, alike myself. I only wish there were more words listed in the dictionary!

5 out of 5 stars I bought one for the kid and ............2002-02-01

I took some quizzes myself.
Woohoo! I scored 70% average.
So many words, so little time.
