Picture Perfect
The SC-DC565 combines a 1.1 megapixel, 1/5-inch CCD camcorder with a 2.7-inch widescreen LCD for impressive image clarity. A 26x optical zoom lets you get close to the action, and you can zoom in even further with a 1200x digital zoom. Meanwhile, the camera's 10-second startup time lets you get shooting almost as soon as the action starts. The SC-DC565 records and plays high quality MPEG 4 video (720 x 480 at 30 frames per second) in true 16:9 widescreen format. In addition to MPEG4 recording, the camcorder can double as a web cam, or use it to capture 1152 x 864 still images. There's even a flash for capturing images in low light situations.
Total Flexibility
Because the SC-DC565 works with DVD-R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW and DVD+R single layer formats, as well as the DVD+R dual layer format, you get excellent flexibility in terms of the media you want use. Also, the 4-in-1 memory card slot is compatible with the leading memory card formats: Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, MMC, and SD cards. You can quickly and easily transfer footage to and from your computer using the USB 2.0 high-speed interface. Or, use the camera's analog-in port to import analog footage and instantly digitize it to the MPEG 4 format. The camcorder also supports the PictBridge standard for printing directly from the camera to a PictBridge-capable photo printer.
