It features Advanced Artificial Intelligence technology, and DSP III Rapid Reflex exposure system. The camcorder has 3" color LCD monitor with Active Screen and Auto Iris function. It provides 16x optical zoom, and digital zooming allows you to zoom in on a subject with magnification up to 160 times, while normal digital zooming is up to 72 times. The image can be magnified up to 240 times when 1.5x instant zoom is used at the same time. You can select different fade modes, including white fade, black, yellow, blue, and green wipe fade, zoom fade, and black-and-white fade. VM7500LA has auto date function, and 2 line and 1 page manual titlers.

Though full-size VHS camcorders are becoming less and less common, some people still prefer them to newer, smaller models. Despite their larger size, standard VHS camcorders offer two advantages over VHS-C and 8mm cameras. First, the tapes can immediately be played through a VCR, rather than using an adapter or requiring the camera to be connected to the television. Second, the shoulder- mounted shooting style necessitated by the camera's size makes it much easier to shoot smooth, steady videos.
The VM7500LA features a 16x optical zoom, as well as a 72x digital zoom, and the ability to take wide-angle shots. The camcorder can also shoot in as little illumination as 0.3 lux. Five digital fades and five digital effects give you the opportunity to add a touch of professionalism to your footage. To compose and review shots, users have two options: a black-and- white optical viewfinder and a 3-inch swivel-mounted color LCD. A built-in playback speaker lets you hear the footage you've just shot. A manual character titler also lets you label the footage you're shooting.
To make sure your shooting experience is as easy as possible, the VM7500LA automatically sets shutter speed, iris, white balance, focus, and backlight compensation. It will even automatic select macro mode when appropriate. The VM7500LA comes equipped with a rechargeable battery that is capable of shooting for 1.3 hours continuously (according to Hitachi) and an AC adapter/charger.
