Equipped with a 2.5-inch color LCD view screen and video light, Canon's Hi8 ES420V employs an integrated autofocus/autoexposure system that helps eliminate incorrect focus and exposure settings. Its 22x optical zoom lens is intensified by a digital zoom that enhances the range electronically to 700x.

There is also an additional set of special effects available during both recording and playback that will help add a little flavor to your movies. These effects include black-and-white, sepia, mirror, and mosaic, among others. Included in the package are an A/V cable, power adapter, shoulder strap, and battery pack.
