The 10x optical zoom works in conjunction with digital image stabilization to help ensure smooth, shake-free footage. A number of integrated faders and special effects let you add a little more polish to your home movie.

Equipped with an IEEE 1394 port, the GR-DVL100U can transfer footage to a computer for editing. For previewing movies on your television, the camcorder comes with an A/V cable that makes connecting as simple as hooking up your VCR.

The package includes a lithium-ion battery, remote control, A/V cable, and shoulder strap.
