Amazon.com Product Description
Get maximum versatility and powerful features with the GoVideo DV1040. The progressive-scan DVD player offers the highest-quality viewing experience when coupled with a compatible television. Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving you higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts.

You can effortlessly record to VHS while viewing a DVD and enjoy GoVideo's innovative AutoPlay feature, which skips ads and menus and goes to right to the start of the movie. GoVideo understands the importance of top-quality audio, too. The unit supports Dolby Digital and DTS digital audio, as well as virtual surround sound. In addition to DVDs and VHS tapes, the DV1040 is compatible with a long list of other media formats, including DVD-R/RW, DVD+R/RW, music CDs, MP3 audio and JPEG image files on CD-R/RW. Now you can play and enjoy all of your media in a single device. The unit sports an easy one-wire (RF) hookup to playback VHS tapes and DVDs. There's also component, S-video, composite, and RF video outputs so you can make the DV1040 a fully integrated part of your home theater. An embedded cable tuner makes cable connections and channel changing a breeze.

Key features of the VCR section include hi-fi playback and record modes, as well as four heads for superior slow motion and stop action. In addition to progressive scan, the DVD section features a 10-bit video digital to analog converter and a 27MHz advanced digital filter. The included full-function remote controls VCR, DVD, and cable tuner functions.

3 out of 5 stars Know what you're getting ..........2005-11-16

This phone DEFINITELY has its pluses and minuses. It never drops calls and it's very reliable. HOWEVER, the volume is almost never loud enough. The vibrate is very weak compared to other Motorola phones that I've owned. I checked with Verizon and even tested other copies of the same phone and it's just plain bad. I picked it based on a phone tech's recommendation from Verizon. I won't ever make that mistake again.

I didn't really notice the volume issue until I attached a headset and had a very hard time hearing the caller on the other end. I tried every headset under the sun, even ones with additional volume boosting by battery, and it didn't help much. If you are in a quiet room, it's fine. If you want to have a conversation outside, in your car, or even in a semi-crowded room ... don't hold your breath.

Is it reliable and easy to use? Definitely! But don't say that I didn't warn ya.
