The Panasonic DVD-RV60 is equipped with S-Video outputs and component-video out. Component-video out digitally separates the video signal into its luminance (Y) and separate chrominance (PR and PB) elements, allowing delivery of a reference-quality picture with precise color reproduction. (The connected TV or monitor must be compatible to attain the benefit of this feature.) Cinema mode enhances the picture by reducing glare, softening resolution, and improving visibility of details in dark scenes--resulting in a more realistic, cinema-like image.

Every Panasonic DVD player features high- speed, five-step, smooth-motion scan. This feature provides crystal-clear forward and reverse scan in five speeds. At the highest setting, the unit scans at 100 times normal speed. The Panasonic DVD-RV60 also offers icon-based onscreen programming, a jog/shuttle dial, title/chapter preview (with marker function), still frame, repeat play mode, and a quick start mechanism, which begins playback in about five or six seconds. A backlit remote control is included. It also includes a warranty for one year on parts and 90 days on labor.

works great with a Mac.......2007-05-25

Hello, I have a Mac computer that has no dvd drive. I needed to write some files to a dvd. Naturally, I would need a dvd writer. I decided to get this Lite-On device because my forst cd drive was indeed Lite-On and it was a great piece of engineering. In fact, I still have it on my old 486. I plugged this into the Mac, and then into the wall socket.
Then I used that terrible disc burning software that comes with the Mac. To my surprise, it worked! It also works with Windose XP. All in all a terriffic product!

Had this for 6 months and it works great. Bought mine at Walmart in case I wanted an "ez" return. But didn't need it. Note that Walmart still has it on their shelves as of April 20, 2007. Especially love the quick burn buttons on the top. Makes it very easy to burn a disc (CD, DVD+/-, or DVD DL). Although I've had no problems whatsoever, I'm running Windows XP SP2. Some people seem to be having problems, but fail to mention their operating system. Anyways, if you're still concerned, Memorex also has a nice external dual layer burner (model 32023288) that's very inexpensive, and that people seem to like. Walmart also has it, but you might need to have it delivered to your store.

After about 10 discs, anything burned would not read in the burner or my computer drive.

After reading the other reviews we bought this burner thinking it was the perfect solution. Unfortunately we were never able to get it to work for us! The setup of the unit was easy and the software installation was simple but when we tried to use it to record something...nothing. The EZ-Dub drive would recognize and play Audio CD's and DVD's but, the start buttons on the top of the unit that is supposed to initiate the two record functions were completely inoperative. We tried everything. We tried Uninstalling the software and reinstalling it several times, we did every troubleshooting point given to us by the help files, we checked all the drivers on both ports and still nothing. We then went to the technical support from the manufacturer at the provided 1-800 number...guess what...I'ts no longer active and the 1-800 is no more. Now you have to dial their long distance number and only during weekdays working hours. Very frustrating. What we did then was go onto the live "online chat" with the tech support guys in an effort to get this problem solved. After about 1.5 hours the tech support people were stumped and gave up as well. Needless to say we were not impressed by them or their product. It has be returned for refund.

Easy to use and fast.......2007-01-16

I got this for Christmas and I've had no problems with it except I used to have to reinstall it after I unhooked it for a few days but it stopped doing that. Anyways it's really fast with burning and very easy to use. Also really durable because me being a klutz I dropped it from a pretty high height and it stills works fine (don't try this! lol) I highly recommend this burner.
