Amazon.com Product Description
Norcent's affordable DP300 features dual NTSC/PAL video outputs, built-in MP3 decoding, and a dual-laser pickup for compatibility with not only DVDs and CDs, but CD-Rs and CD-RWs as well. It only plays Region 1 (U.S. and Canada) DVDs, but composite- and S-video outputs bring compatibility with nearly any television.

In the audio realm, a single set of left-right analog-audio outputs channel audio to Dolby Pro Logic receivers and stereo televisions. Dolby Digital 5.1-channel surround-sound signals can be routed through the player's digital-audio outputs (one each of RCA coaxial and Toslink optical) for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver. A 96 kHz/24-bit digital-to-analog converter ensures optimal decoding of DVDs and CDs.

Playback options include onscreen menu, parental lock, resume/memory play, eight-grade fast or slow motion, and nine-image digest viewing. Supplied accessories include a composite-video/stereo analog-audio interconnect, an instruction manual, and a full-function remote control.

Customer Reviews:

2 out of 5 stars Cool gadget but poor sound quality.......2006-11-22

I bought this little gadget for my K750i to play the mp3 collections in my car. The design is considered top notch, just plug it into the phone command port and it works immediately after the comfirmation of the transmission settings. The Walkman logo glows and blinks which is very cool especially during night time, it will definitely draws other drivers' attention if you mount your phone near the window.

But your satisfaction will immediately drop to the bottom after listening to the sound quality. The manual recommends to set the phone equalizer to normal and the volume output set to around 80% to ensure good quality transmission. But frankly speaking, this doesn't help much. The sound is ok at the mid range but the higher pitch area is very bad, which is like you're having a poor reception of your local FM radio station. Have tried with different position in the car and it's doesn't help since it has a 10 meter of reception range, so it's not the reception problem but the device just can't transform the music efficiently into FM signals.

I borrowed another type of FM transmitter with the cigarette lighter plug and 3.5mm stereo port, which is at quarter of the price of MMR-60 and the sound is much much better. (Connect through Stereo Portable Handsfree HPM-64). The results may due to the ample power supply compared to the Sony Ericsson's MMR-60 which is draw from the phone.

Not recommended for in car use, unless for the reason of the beautiful walkman logo with soft glow of light, which is definitely a very nice car deco especially during Christmas season.
