Progressive scanning, referred to as 480p for the number of horizontal lines that compose the video image, creates a picture using twice the scan lines of a conventional DVD picture, giving you higher resolution and sharper images while eliminating nearly all motion artifacts.
Other features include Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel digital output (a coaxial connection, cable not included) for hookup with a compatible audio/video receiver and speaker system, simulated surround sound through any two speakers, 2x and 4x zoom, search speeds up to 100x, 10-point bookmarking, and parental lock. Video outputs include component-video, S-video, and composite-video terminals. Auto power off conserves energy and extends product life.
