This complete home theater system includes a slim-design silver DVD player with multi-angle and zoom functions, a silver 100 watts x 5 slim-design receiver with Dolby Digital, DTS, and Dolby Pro Logic decoding, as well as five matching satellite speakers and an 8-inch, 100-watt subwoofer. The DSTP570 plays not only DVD and CD, it also plays CD-R and CD-RW recordable formats, SVCD, VCD, and MP3 CDs. Don't let its slim design fool you--it's packed with exciting features like 3-D Phonic simulated surround sound, variable and slow search, zoom, resume, and both digest and strobe play. A coaxial digital-audio output passes Dolby Digital and DTS surround signals, which are decoded in the matching receiver.

The RX-5022SL audio/video control receiver pounds out 100 watts x 5 (into 8 ohms, at 1 kHz with no more than 0.8 percent THD; stereo mode sees 100 watts from 40 to 20,000 Hz). Fully discrete output devices ensure optimal amplifier sound. Dolby Digital and DTS decoders are built-in, including Dolby Pro Logic II with full 5.1-channel digital processing for stereo sources. The unit offers bass and treble controls, four audio inputs, one assignable coaxial digital-audio input, one assignable optical digital-audio input, 15 AM and 30 FM station memory, and a multibrand audio-video remote control.

The speakers consist of five silver, magnetically shielded satellite speakers (front, center, and surround) with a frequency response of 200 to 16,000 Hz. The silver, eight-inch slot-loaded powered polycone subwoofer boasts a 100-watt amplifier, an anti-clipping circuit, a variable volume control, a fixed-frequency low-pass filter optimized for the satellite speakers, and a single RCA line-level audio input. The sub's performance extends to an earth-shaking 33 Hz. Color-coded speaker wire is included for all speakers.

With a kid-friendly design, the Migo makes a great little sidekick for all your child's adventures. As far as cell phones go, it doesn't get much simpler than the Migo. The small, oval-shaped device weighs just over two ounces and features a small (96 x 32) monochrome, blue-backlit screen and two bug-like antennae. Below the screen, there's no dialpad, just call, send, and end keys and four shortcut dialing keys, which parents can set so that kids can call with a single button press. An emergency key is placed between the shortcut keys, which can also be set to call any number parents choose (it is preprogrammed to dial 911). Volume control keys are provided on the left side of the phone, and there's a jack for a standard wired headset.

Calling Features
Because the Migo is geared for kids, simplicity is the name of the game. As mentioned, the phone makes it easy for kids to call Mom and Dad at the touch of a button. And for safety, the Migo allows parents to strictly control outgoing calls, as the phone can only dial one of four preset numbers (plus the number assigned to the emergency key). These parental settings are protected by a code, so once the Migo's phone book is programmed, it cannot be changed (unless the code is entered). Parents can also program specific ringtones to correspond with up to four incoming callers, as well as caller ID text for each of these callers. Missed calls are displayed on the phone display. The Migo keeps things fun with ten great ringtones, and there's also a vibrate ringer mode. Last but not least, the Migo features a speakerphone so kids can talk hands-free.

Note that the Migo does not support voice mail, Verizon's Get It Now download service, Web browsing, or sending and receiving text messages.

The Migo is built to be accessorized. The phone features a hook for use with colorful wrist straps, carabiners (backpack clips), and other accessories. The Migo also comes with fun stickers for decorating its case.

Great Phone!.......2006-12-11

After deciding my daughter needed a cell phone for communication and emergencies, we debated between this one and the Firefly. We have Verizon's service already. We decided to go with the Migo. We explained everything to my daughter (who is 7) and programmed only other Verizon customers (like me, her step-dad and her uncle) so no minutes would ever be used. We didn't give out her phone number to anyone and talked to her about not answering calls she doesn't know.

She's had it for about 6 months now and it's worked out wonderfully! She loves it and uses it often.

Our majour turn off with the Firefly was that you had to purchase minutes for it. And they would expire if not used. This one we just added to our plan and restricted the calls to the IN network.

I highly recommend this phone.

GREAT Product! I have peace of mind that my 5 year old daughter can call me at anytime. Her phone allows me to track her location from a computer or my cell phone. LOVE IT! If the bus is late at dropping the kids off, I call her Or best of all track her with the Chaperone feature right from my cell phone. Chaperone is the best thing they ever came out with for knowing where your children are at all times. The Chaperone system works fine. Not perfect but, is good enough till the system improves on exact locations. Right now it only gives you around a location address with map which is good enough for now. The phone connection is very good and never drops.

I worry about everything like most parents and this phone really helps the parent have peace of mind that the child is OKAY. 4 and 5 year olds can use this phone easily with no troubles. Get one, It will save you from worrying and best of all let the child call you when they need to. It is only $9.99 a month with the family plan.

My daughter loves this phone and even at 5 years old she is so responsible with it. It is her new security blanket that she will not go anywhere with out it

A Great Phone For Younger Kids.......2006-08-25

I am 12 and I recieved this phone as a gift almost 8 months ago. I thought it was really cool at first. But the design of the phone is a little toy-like and there aren't many cases or skins for the phone. I think the firefly has a much cuter design. It's a great way to stay in touch with your parents and, unlike other kids phones, you can have up to 4 numbers instead of 2. To call other people you have to punch in a pin number, which is kind of a pain. All in all the Migo is a great phone for 7-10 year old kids.

I laughed when I read a previous reviewers review that said his child programed the phone. I thought, "surely, he couldn't have!" Well, our Migo arrived last week. My son, who just turned 7, RE-programmed the phone with his 1st grade classmates phone numbers!! So yes, if they have access to the
manual, or know the code, it's not hard to do at all!!

With that said, I must add that I DO love this phone. For just $9.99 a month, my son can call me whenever he likes. He clips it inside his backpack or on his jeans depending on where he is! My son is never far from my side, but I guess I like having him know he can reach me anytime he wants!!
