5 out of 5 stars Best Laptop Ever.......2006-03-31

I have the same laptop shown, except my laptop has 1 gig of memory and it has a 100 gig hard drive, as shown the latop has 60 gig hard drive and 512 megabytes of memory. So in a way mine is better, but I play extensive games such as Worl of WarCaraft, StarCraft, Yuri's Revenge, and other good games. This is the only laptop I have used that has played World of WarCraft online without any delay's or slowing down of the game! This computer is the best! All my friends have the same laptop, but of coarse, mine has the upgrades which add to the price, but it is worth it!!

A 100% must by for people who play games!

1 out of 5 stars Gateway to Hell.......2006-03-04

A word of caution, if I may. I'm currently caught in the
seventh circle of Gateway Customer Service Hell over an
issue with my 400VTX laptop that is covered by warranty
but that the company refuses to repair. Their customer
service has been MONUMENTALLY bad, I'm sorry to say.

Before buying any Gateway product you might want to
Google the words "gateway" and "sucks". To date they
return over 800,000 results. Wow. Assuming as many as
half don't have anything to do with the company (a big
assumption), that leaves over 400,000 very unsatisfied
customers. Not a good sign.

If you choose to go with Gateway please accept my most
heartfelt condolences...and best of luck! You'll probably
need it if something goes wrong with your purchase.

As for me, soon I'll be giving up on PCs altogether and
switching to a Mac. Sure, Steve Jobs is a jerk, but his
company makes beautiful, dependable machines. I hope...
