High power--100 watts per channel times five for the left, right, center, and left/right surround channels--means true home-theater power, bolstered by 225 watts peak power for the subwoofer (55 watts continuous). The HT-SK6's DVD player also performs 3:2 pulldown. DVD mastering introduces a common distortion when adjusting 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this distortion, removing the redundant information to display a film-frame-accurate picture. And did we mention the system's surround processing prowess? You'll enjoy enveloping audio decoding for both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround formats, as well as Dolby Pro-logic II, which converts two-channel audio tracks from any source into five-channel surround sound.
