With the advent of the DV-SP500 DVD-Player Onkyo establishes new levels of picture and sound quality.The ExperienCinema concept includes a vast range of high quality features, such as VLSC, Direct Digital Path and excellent 192kHz/24Bit digital to analogue converters; features not normally found at this budget level. The Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry (VLSC) provides dramatically improved sound quality for all types of music signals, and enables one to listen to a pure analogue signal based on a digital source.VLSC uses a very sophisticated applied circuit, normally only available in Onkyo's high-end products, to create a smooth and noiseless signal. The clear and hearable benefit of "Direct Digital Path" Is the interference free signal path, which avoids the need for the quality decreasing error correction process. The DV-SP500 also employs state of the art 192kHz/24Bit digital to analog converters for all channels and supports DVD's, MP3-CD's, CD-R(W)'s, Video CD's and Audio CD's.
