VariZoom's VZ-CON56 5.6" TFT with lipped edge for panel mounting. This Monitor serves two valuable purposes for the serious videographer. First, it functions as an external video display, allowing the shooter to step back from the camera while recording (no more bending over to peek through a tiny viewfinder). Combined with a tripod-mounted camera and a VariZoom lens controller, the VZ-CON56 emulates a studio-style rig costing thousands of dollars. The VZ-CON56 provides a highly compact and affordable alternative to bringing a conventional CRT video monitor into the field or in your own studio for video playback. Use the VZ-CON56 alone or as a package with the VZ-CON56-D which includes a customized rack and TWO VZ-CON56 monitors. The monitor provides instant playback of footage for small groups. The VZ-CON56 enables videographers to remotely monitor image and sound from the camera during shooting and playback.Active matrix (also known as TFT or thin film transistor) is a superb technology used in liquid crystal displays (LCD's). Active matrix provides a more responsive image at a wider range of viewing angle than dual scan displays.An AV cable (included) plugs into the VZ-CON56 from the camera's composite (RCA or BNC; it may be necessary to supply your own adaptor depending on your camera) video and stereo audio output jacks.
