It also features a 550:1 contrast ratio with a 500 cd/m2 (candela per square meter) brightness rating and an amazing 178-degree wide-angle viewability.

The Z23LZ5R features a widescreen picture aspect ratio (16:9; standard TVs have a 4:3 aspect ratio), which is the ideal screen format for viewing widescreen video from DVD players and the growing availability of broadcast programming off digital HDTV tuners (HD content is always widescreen), cable boxes and satellite receivers.

Faroudja's DCDi (Directional Correlational Deinterlacing) and TrueLife video processing eliminate jagged edges that appear with progressive-scan displays for a smoother picture. The 2D digital comb filter helps reduce video noise by comparing each horizontal scanning line with the lines above and below and with the corresponding line on the previous subsequent video frames. Other features include a built-in 181-channel NTSC tuner, high definition capability (with separate tuner), color temperature adjustment, three-mode aspect ratio adjustment, and a lamp life of up to 60,000 hours. It offers such standard television features as custom channel labels, favorite channel selection, sleep timer, V-Chip parental controls, flashback to previous channel, and tri-lingual menus (English, French, Spanish).

Great Hardware, Slightly Troublesome Software.......2007-01-10

I love my clip! It sits in my pocket, on my keychain, and there's not a chance in the world that it's going to slip out of its rubber case. Highly recommended for use in your pocket. No lint is going to get into the usb connector itself, either, unlike some of the other pocket-sized devices.

The software, though, seems to be a little finicky. Often I try and try to 'unlock' the drive so that I can get to my protected files. The screen says that that drive is unlocked, but I can't see the files anywhere. I haven't spent a lot of time trying to figure it out, but it's clear to me that the software isn't bug-free. Other than that, this is a great drive and I'd highly recommend it.

Don't buy..........2006-11-02

I've had this flash drive for 2 months. It was working fine until recently. Now it doesn't even light up. I've had my other flash drive (lexar) for about 4 years and it still works. It is flimsy and at first I liked the case it came with because I could attach it to my keychain. Now I think the case might have caused it to malfunction. I'm disappointed, luckily I didn't lose much data!

Easy to dissasemble.......2006-04-29

We ordered three of these devices. I removed one from the packaging and checked it out. The device is accessed by bending the rubber shell which exposes the flash drive for removal. The case around the flash drive immediately popped open revealing the flash module itself. Just in case this was a fluke, I tried the others. They were all this way. I returned them to our vendor (CDW) who reported later that their Imation rep was pulling the line.
