Motorola RAZR V3x Dark Blue Phone (Unlocked)
Manufacturer: Motorola Product Group: Wireless Binding: Wireless Phone Accessory ASIN: B000FDXU54 |
Amazon.com Product Description
The Motorola RAZR V3 was a raging success, thanks to its slim, groundbreaking design and powerful features. But now it's time for a new RAZR, one with even more power and features. The newest RAZR, the V3x, promises to be just as sensational as its predecessor, thanks to a 2-megapixel camera, a supplementary camera for video calls, a microSD card slot, a massive screen, and lots more. If you have to have the coolest, most cutting edge phone, here it is.

The same stunning design -- with groundbreaking new features.

Design
The RAZR V3x's design borrows heavily from it's predecessor, and from a distance you'd be hard pressed to tell the two apart. You get the same impressive, anodized aluminum construction, and an external 96 x 80 full color display that can display pictures, time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. Above this display, though, you'll find a big addition: a 2-megapixel camera.
Inside the flip, the main display has been upgraded to a massive 320 x 240 pixels with 262,000 colors. There's also a supplementary VGA camera below the display for capturing your face when you make video calls, as well as a wide or macro switch for controlling the camera's field of view. Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad, which, like the RAZR V3, is precision cut from a single sheet of nickel-plated copper alloy. Charging and USB data cable ports are provided, as is a slot for a microSD card. The phone supports up to 512 MB of removable memory.
Calling Features
Part of the big news about the V3x is that it supports third-generation, or "3G," data services on GSM networks. As HSDPA-compatible networks come online in the U.S. you'll be able to take advantage of blistering mobile data speeds for video calls, multimedia, and internet access. In other news, the V3x's speakerphone is designed to make it easy to talk hands free when you're busy with other tasks. Meanwhile, a vibrate alert silently notifies you of incoming calls when you want to be discreet.
The phone's 5 MB of internal memory provides ample space for all your contacts and addresses -- up to 1000 of them. Plus, the V3x's advanced, speaker-independent voice recognition allows you to state a number/name and be connected without the need for pre-recording the contact's name. And, of course, because the V3x sports Bluetooth, your favorite wireless headset is compatible.

A massive 320 x 240 display and a supplementary camera for video calls.

Messaging, Internet, and Tools
In addition to support for email, instant messaging, and MMS, the RAZR V3x features Motorola's SCREEN3 technology, which gives you zero-click access to news, sports, entertainment, and other premium content directly from your mobile device home screen. There are no buttons to push, no browsers to launch. Meanwhile, a WAP 2.0 browser lets you browse the mobile web with ease.
iTap text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit-- a plus for mobile email and text messaging users. And with Internet service and a data plan (not included) and its Bluetooth or USB data capability, the phone can be used as a wireless modem for laptops and PDAs.
A number of handy software tools are bundled with the RAZR V3x including a voice memo recorder, a calculator, a calendar, a to-do list, and an alarm clock. The phone also supports the SyncML PC synchronization standard, can be used with Motorola's Mobile Phone Tools PC application to manage and synchronize contacts, calendar and other data with your PC.
Imaging and Entertainment
The V3x's powerful camera features an 8x zoom, a macro mode setting, and an LED flash. As mentioned, the phone also supports two-way video calling. A built-in media player supports playback of AAC+, MPEG4, WMV, WMA, MP3 and Real Video/Audio files. On top of all that, because the phone supports the newest version of Bluetooth, you can use a stereo Bluetooth headset with it to listen to your music in stereo and without wires.
Want to get your game on? The V3x's 3D graphics energize your gaming entertainment, making each twist, turn and supersonic blast seem real.
Vital Statistics
The Motorola V3x weighs 4.4 ounces and measures 3.8 x 2 x .8 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 5 hours of digital talk time, and up to 250 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the 900/1800/1900 MHz GSM/HSDPA frequencies. The phone comes with a one year limited warranty.
