Amazon.com Product Description
Zenith's C32V46 HD-ready big-screen television features a 32-inch flat, fine-pitch picture tube and a number of high-definition features that provide amazing picture clarity. Hook the set up with a DTV receiver for full-resolution HD reception through its DVI (digital visual interface) or component-video terminals. Onboard DCDi line doubling (provided by the video-technology leader Faroudja) doubles the number of scan lines for a cinemalike effect, eliminating jagged lines and artifacts along diagonal lines and bringing all input sources to high-definition 1080i resolution.

The C32V46 performs 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal, a handy feature for watching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format. Digital video mastering introduces a common distortion when adjusting 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this distortion, removing the redundant information to display a film-frame-accurate picture.

Special 16:9/4:3 aspect-ratio correction lets you view feature-length movies in either their original widescreen format (16:9) or in regular TV format (4:3), with no loss of resolution--the set devotes all available lines to the letterboxed image, wasting none on the black bars above and below. Single-tuner PIP (picture-in-picture) lets you watch a TV station and a video input simultaneously.

A 3D Y/C comb filter combines the adaptive digital processing of a 3-line digital comb filter with 3-D motion detection. This eliminates hanging dots and color noise on stationary images, as well as reducing "dot crawl" and overall picture noise. Scan velocity modulation dynamically varies the scanning speed of the electron beam to create clear, well defined images for the sharpest picture possible. Zenith's Dynamic Focus aligns the red, green, and blue color beams in the center of the screen to ensure accurate side-to-side focus.

Inputs include the above-mentioned DVI digital in, 4 composite-video and 3 S-video/composite-video sources (including stereo audio for each), and 2 high-definition component-video inputs. A set of convenient front-panel inputs (with S-video) fosters easy hookups with a camcorder or gaming console, and a set of composite-video/stereo analog-audio outputs lets you route a signal to a VCR, DVR, or surround receiver.

Other features include color temperature control (which lets you adjust the ambiance of the screen's picture between warm, mid, and cool presets), built-in stereo speakers (7 watts per channel x 2), Dolby Virtual surround sound, trilingual menus (English, French, and Spanish), and MTS/SAP audio broadcast.

Amazon.com Product Description

If you're in your car a lot, this is the phone for you. The Motorola V325 from Verizon Wireless offers speaker-independent voice recognition, which allows you to dial a number by speaking the name of a contact, or by speaking the digits of a phone number. When this voice technology is used with the two-way speaker phone the V325 allows for true hands-free operation.

Design
The phone features a traditional clamshell design with a large LCD display that supports over 65,000 colors. Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's blue backlit control pad. The V325's stylish design includes a unique light-up outer bezel, and a comfortable rubberized case that not only contributes to its sexy look but helps ensure you always maintain a solid grip on your phone. The unit houses a stub-extendable antenna, a built-in mini-USB port, and a standard jack to accept universal hands-free headsets.

Calling Features
Robust calling features are at the heart of the V325. Speaker-independent voice dialing allows you to make calls without ever touching the device. The V325's built-in address book can store up to 500 contacts, with up to six numbers per name, for quick and easy management of phone numbers and email addresses. In addition to having a discreet vibrating alert, the phone supports both 72-chord polyphonic and custom MP3 format ringtones, which means you can really jazz up your incoming calls with cool tunes. The V325 also allows assigned ringer and picture IDs so you can easily identify incoming calls from your address book by a glance at the screen, or from across the room. A built-in two-way speakerphone makes it easy for you and others in the car to talk hands-free.

Meanwhile, the V325's GPS location technology pinpoints your exact location when you dial 911, and allows you to take advantage of Verizon's VZ Navigator service so you will never get lost again. Perhaps most importantly for users in rural areas, the V325 is a tri-mode phone, meaning it can operate on Verizon's digital networks, as well as analog networks that serve many outlying areas.

Messaging, Internet and Tools
The V325 covers the messaging basics with support for sending and receiving text and graphics via messages. Getting on the Internet anywhere is easy with the V325, as well. Verizon's optional Mobile Web package allows you to read and send e-mails, exchange instant messages and view your favorite web content on your phone. You can check your e-mail, trade stocks online, compare prices while shopping, access flight information, get movie listings, and find directions to the theater.

Verizon's Get It Now wireless download service is also fully compatible with the V325. This pay-per-download service features application downloads, games and productivity tools. You can also personalize your handset with ringtone downloads and digital photo-sharing tools using the Get It Now service.

The V325 ships with a calendar and a voice memo application, as well as an alarm clock and a calculator.

Imaging and Entertainment
The V325 includes a powerful digital camera with a 640 x 480 VGA resolution that features a 4x digital zoom, as well as a self timer so you can even be in your own best pictures. This unit also features customizable theme colors, screen backgrounds, fonts and caller ID graphics and pictures so you can make your phone reflect your personality. Games and other applications are available via the Get It Now service.

Vital Statistics
The Motorola V325 weighs 4.09 ounces and measures 3.58 x 1.93 x 0.94 inches. Its 880 mAh lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 195 minutes of digital talk time, and up to 200 hours of digital standby time. It runs on the AMPS 850, and CDMA 850/CDMA 1900 frequencies. The phone comes with a one-year limited warranty.

2 out of 5 stars Yep--another "unauthorized charger".......2007-04-14

When I first got this phone, I was pleased with the sound quality, the camera, the sturdiness of the phone and the overall appearance. I think its a rather sharp looking phone. However, I haven't had the phone for very long--and I keep getting the "unauthorized charger" message as well. Not only do I get that message--often times when I finally do get the message "charge" and leave it to do just that, (which 99% of the time, I charge the phone overnight) it will say "Charge complete" & show full bars, and "die" within fifteen minutes or so of use. The other discouraging fact is that Verizon hasn't been very helpful in trying to fix the problem. They keep telling me its the charger(s). I feel otherwise--especially after reading other comments on Amazon.

5 out of 5 stars Rock solid in every way, but might lack a couple of features.......2007-02-01

Overall, this is solid, practical phone. It's very well designed, extremely sturdy, and has excellent sound quality. Battery life is comparable to other phones I've used, and the user interface responds considerably faster than my RAZR V3c (I bought the V325 for my wife). Granted, the Verizon interface is pretty poorly designed, but that has nothing to do with the phone. If you don't believe me, pick up almost any Verizon phone and you'll find the same thing. If you're looking for a phone that can take a beating, this is a good choice. It may be a little heavier, but it sure doesn't feel like a toy, unlike many other phones. The rubber edges help absorb impact, and it doesn't scratch easily. People are coming up with some strange complaints, so I'm going to address them: Cellular phones use a good amount of energy, so some heat dissipation is fairly normal. Like most phones, it gets a little warm to the touch after steady use, but I've never really noticed overheating with this handset, per say. A lot of Motorola phones have the "unauthorized charger" message - if you're still seeing it, try getting the latest firmware from Verizon. As for sound quality, there are a lot of factors, but this phone sounds great to me as an audiophile and trained musician. Surprisingly, it sounds like a cellular phone. Keep in mind that most CDMA phones have the same encoder chip from Qualcomm (my sister writes firmware for them). Also keep in mind that sound problems could be anywhere between the mic on your end and the speaker on the other person's ear. No, it doesn't have Bluetooth - I like Bluetooth on my RAZR, but in a way you can consider yourself lucky in that you don't need to buy a $40-100 headset. People shouldn't complain about "missing" features if they didn't spend a few minutes reading up before buying. (Yeah, I'm blunt.) I've had no problems with battery life - it uses the same Lithium ion battery as in many Motorola phones. If you constantly charge and discharge, the battery will eventually die - any cellular phone will exhibit the same behavior. As with any phone, I count on replacing my battery every year or two with normal use.

In short, this phone is well engineered like almost every Motorola product I've used.

2 out of 5 stars Motorola V325: great... Verizon: not so great.......2007-01-07

Like all Motorola phones in this series, a good, solid performer, deserving 4 or 5 stars, and Amazon.com is the top vendor for mobile phones. Too bad it's Verizon though - the company that used to be #1 now refuses to give out specific information on phone reception, doesn't adjust towers to help customers' reception, and beware if you stop service without porting your phone number over - Verizon will hang on to the number and attempt to charge you for continuing service. 0 stars for the big V.

4 out of 5 stars Good enough.......2006-12-27

I needed a phone sturdy enough to withstand my clumsiness, and this is it. Encased in a hard rubber, I've dropped it more times than I can count and it hasn't broken. The reception is good, and the camera quality isn't horrible - which is all I wanted. It's kind of big and clunky - but other than getting that unauthorized charger message and getting it replaced (free) from Verizon - I can't complain.

1 out of 5 stars Field Force Manager Users BEWARE!!! .......2006-12-05

This phone was provided by our company to the outside sales force for its Navigation and Field Force Manager (including constant tracking) capabilities. There is no Bluetooth on the original version of this phone. The V325i is the upgrade on this. The Verizon navigation system gives adaquate directions but the voice too low even at full volume. After about month the sales force realized the battery life is too limited with all the software running in background. Now after 4 or 5 months, my phone beeps low battery after being turned on for only 3 hours after charging all night. Instead of being used as a cell phone, it sits in the car now, always plugged in so I can receive the text messages of new jobs to go to. I'm back to using my personal phone for phone calls. So now I have a mobile work phone that I basically can't unplug to take with me to make phone calls!
