And with the picture-in-picture (PIP) and picture-over-picture (POP) features, you don't have to worry about missing your favorite programs while working on the computer or surfing the Internet.
It has a built-in 181-channel NTSC tuner and it's capable of displaying high definition TV signals with an optional receiver. It features an 842 x 480-pixel resolution and a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio for optimal letterbox movie watching and compatibility with 1080p/720p/480p/480i HD formats. It also features a wide 160-degree horizontal viewing angle, brightness rating of 1000 cd/m2 (candela per square meter, and 3000:1 contrast ratio. (The higher the contrast ratio, the greater a TV's ability to display subtle color details and not get washed out by ambient room light.)
The 3D Y/C digital comb filter analyzes consecutive scanning lines within a field as well as the preceding and following fields. This results in improved detail and color purity, a more stable video image, and nearly eliminating dot crawl and color bleeding. The 3:2 pulldown cinema video processing feature detects and compensates film--which is shot at 24 frames per second (fps) compared with video's 30 fps rate--to video for a smooth theater-like experience at home. Other TV features include picture freeze, sleep timer, and V-Chip parental controls.
This TV has a pair of built-in stereo speakers that offer 5 watts per channel (10 watts total) and can produce SRS WOW virtual surround sound.
