5 out of 5 stars Great Simple Phone.......2007-03-27

I bought this phone for a gift for a relative. It is great if you only need the basic stuff like calling, text messages. It's simple you just swipe your SIM's card in and your ready to go. It is good for people who don't care much about the Caller-Id panel in front of the phone, and taking pictures because it isn't a camera phone.

1 out of 5 stars There are no good headsets for this phone.......2007-01-06

Come next January, California law will require headsets when using cell phones in cars. THERE ARE ONLY THREE HEADSETS AVAILABLE FOR THIS PHONE, AND THEY ARE UNIFORMLY TERRIBLE. Despite what the plantronics website will tell you, none of their headsets work with this phone (except one very sub-standard earbud-type)--I know: I plugged every single one of them into my phone, and they didn't work. None of the Jabra headsets work with this phone. There are two "earbud" headsets that work, and one horrible over-the-ear headset (you can get this one here at Amazon for under $10, if you wish to throw away $10). They are all unusable if you have any road noise at all in your vehicle. If you plan to drive with this phone and want to use a headset, get something other than the Nokia 6061.

4 out of 5 stars 6061 is a good basic phone........2007-01-04

I wanted a phone mainly for voice, and text messaging. I bought an unlocked phone so I didn't have to deal with any rigmarole at a phone store. I just slipped my SIM card in. I don't use the browser and I wasn't interested in a camera, which this phone doesn't have. The phone works very well. It seems to take several clicks to navigate around so perhaps that could be a bit more efficient (the reason for a 4 not a 5). The sound quality and reception are as good as they can be, battery life is fantastic compare to my older phone, and it is comfortable to use.
