Business-ruggedization features include a full magnesium-alloy case manufactured in Panasonic's own state-of-the-art casting facility, a shock-mounted and isolated hard drive, a proprietary cooling system incorporating an optimized heat pipe and remote heat exchanger, reinforced USB and PC Card connectors, re-engineered and upgraded port covers, and protective ribs on the case bottom.A quick-release lever provides access to the unit's hard drive bay and makes user compliance with corporate and public-agency security regulations requiring separate storage for notebooks and data devices easier than ever before.
