To make music navigation easy, the Fusic is designed with an external navigation pad similar to the most popular MP3 players. It even has an FM transmitter so you can listen to your tunes through your car or home stereo. The Fusic packs powerful features into a smooth design that's sure to turn heads. See it in 3D.

Design
The Fusic's trendy design dispenses with the humdrum clamshell look of the past, making this phone look and feel like a music player that just happens to be an incredibly powerful phone. The device sports a large 176 x 220 color display with 262,000 colors. The outside cover of the handset features a supplementary 96 x 96 full-color display that can display music player information, pictures, time, call information, battery and signal strength, and more. Meanwhile, handy media control buttons are placed below the outer display. Most of the phone's features and on-screen menus are controlled by a five-way center button on the handset's backlit control pad. A charging port and USB data cable port are placed on the bottom of the phone and, as mentioned, there's a microSD slot for memory expansion. Listen to your favorite music in stereo when using the included stereo headset. And if you want to make your Fusic match your personality, the front faceplate is replaceable.

Calling Features
The Fusic's internal phone book can hold up to 500 contacts, and the phone's picture ID system allows you to assign pictures and ringtones to your most common callers. The phone ships with many polyphonic ringtones, but for those times when you want to be discreet, there's a vibrating alert. A built-in speakerphone makes it easy to talk without having the phone to your ear, and advanced voice activated dialing makes calling your friends, family and associates easy. Simply say the name or number of the person you want to call and the number is dialed automatically without using the keypad. No prior voice training is needed. Lastly, because the Fusic is Bluetooth enabled, wireless headsets can be configured with the phone for total handsfree operation.

Messaging, Internet, and Tools
With support for Sprint PCS picture and video mail services, the Fusic is a messaging powerhouse. Shoot high quality pictures and video clips with sound and instantly send them to email addresses and or other Sprint PCS phones that are compatible with picture and video mail services. Or upload them to the Sprint PCS pictures Web site (sprint.com/picturemail) to create albums. You can also use the Fusic to send and receive email, exchange text messages, or join a chat room. Plus, the Fusic features an embedded SMS voice messaging client for quickly sending voice messages to other wireless users or any working email addresses.

The real power of the Fusic comes alive with Sprint's PCS Power Vision services. Relying on Sprint's new EV-DO high speed data network, Power Vision allows you to enjoy full-color video clips or live TV of the latest news, sports, and entertainment from CNN, Fox, The Weather Channel, and more.

You can also stream or download music to your phone with Sprint's Music Store service. Download stereo-quality, digital tracks instantly to your phone. Choose from hundreds of thousands of full-length songs from virtually every genre. Select songs directly from the phone and listen to them wherever you go. Even download them to your PC.

And last but not least, enhanced 3D games, personalized news and information tickers, and downloadable screen savers and ringtones are also available through the Power Vision service.

Sprint's high speed data network allows you to browse the web like never before while you're on the go. Check out full-color versions of popular web sites or purchase and download premium applications to your Sprint Power Vision Phone. You can also use the included USB cable or Bluetooth to connect to a PC, allowing Internet and email access on your laptop wherever you roam.

The Fusic is packed with useful tools to make your life more productive and fun. A voice memo recorder lets you record up to three minutes of spoken voice notes. The phone also includes an alarm clock that can be set one time or daily, a calendar with a to-do list and a scheduler, a calculator, a stopwatch, and a world clock. A PC synchronization application makes it possible to sync your phone's data with your PC.

Imaging and Entertainment
As mentioned, the Fusic features a powerful camera that can be used to capture and send video and still images. The camera also has an LED flash and a self-timer, as well as controls for brightness and white balance. A built-in media player lets you see and hear streaming and stored media, and it supports MP3, AAC, and AAC plus audio files. And where will you put all these pictures, videos and songs? On a microSD card, of course (sold separately). Don't forget about the unique FM transmitter, which makes it easy to listen to the Fusic's music via any radio tuner. The phone takes gaming to the next level, too, with support for advanced, action-packed 3D games.

Vital Statistics
The LG Fusic weighs 4.23 ounces and measures 3.78 x 1.89 x .78 inches. Its lithium-ion battery is rated at up to 4.5 hours of digital talk time. It runs on the CDMA 850/CDMA 1900 frequencies. The phone comes with a one year limited warranty.

1 out of 5 stars POS.......2007-06-06

My wife and I each have the Fusic - for 6 months now. She had battery issues right away - it took some time for my phone to develop the same problems. We have both had the batteries changed out, and I'm ready for another...

1 out of 5 stars LG Fusic is terrible.......2007-05-11

In the five months that I have owned this phone, I have had 4 batteries, and replaced the entire phone, and it still doesn't work! I don't know if it is Sprint or the phone, but about 1/2 the time, calls will go directly to voice mail, and I may not get a voice mail notification for hours! Even without using the phone, the charge won't last longer than 5-6 hours. This phone is terrible, and the service and support is just as bad! That's about $300 I won't get back!

1 out of 5 stars I HATE THIS PHONE AFTER 4 MONTHS..........2007-05-11

3 out of 5 stars It's pretty good, but I have a big battery problem with it.......2007-05-08

I really do like this phone, I have had a total of 5 phones, this one is by far my favorite. I have one problem with Sprint in general, No one is able to bluetooth me any ringtones, so I have to buy them from Sprint. It really stinks. The camera works very well. It is pretty cool how you can have a video background on your main screen. Now to my battery problem. I like the whole mp3 thing, but when my phone is in my pocket I end up pressing the outside buttons and turning my mp3 player on. This happens ALL THE TIME now. I cannot figure out how to disable the outside buttons, but I was able to get the sound turned off, so it doesn't go off in class, but the mp3 player ends up killing my battery because I don't know it is going until after I get out of class. If anyone can tell me how to disable those buttons PLEASE let me know, or if you know how to bluetooth ringtones to and from this phone. It would be much appreciated. Thanks

1 out of 5 stars BAD PHONE.......2007-04-25

Well, where do I begin?
-It freezes every time I try to put a memory card that is bigger than the one it came with, EVEN THOUGH I was told that it could hold that memory card.
-Its not reliable. I don't know if it's sprint, or the phone, but either way, sometimes it won't ring and it will go straight to voicemail.
-The battery is no good. I charge it at night, and then when I take it to work or school, 2 hours later it will be dead. So, I tried not to "over charge it", but it still dies. So I have to carry around the charger.

As for all the things it has, such as the live TV, you have to pay alot more on your plan every month and it's not like you can watch a variety of things. It's only like ESPN and the weather channel. Next time, I'm getting a Samsung phone..
