  • Hard Drive: The 40 GB hard drive (5400 RPM) is a below average for current notebooks. It provides enough storage for business productivity applications and your most necessary documents and spreadsheets, but you might feel squeezed when storing digital media files. Acer's patented DASP--or Disc Anti-Shock Protection system--reduces the impact of knocks and bumps.
  • Processor: The Intel Celeron M Processor 410 is designed specifically for mobile computing, offering a balanced level of mobile-optimized processor technology, good mobile performance, and exceptional value. The 1.46 GHz speed resides in the middle of the spectrum for this processor (as of November 2006). It also features a fast 533 MHz front-side bus (FSB) and 1 MB L2 cache. (An L2, or secondary, cache temporarily stores data; and a larger L2 cache can help speed up your system's performance. The FSB carries data between the CPU and RAM, and a faster front-side bus will deliver better overall performance.)
