Probably the main flaw of the samsung a920 is that it lacks a standard headphone jack. This adapter allows you to plug your favorite headphones into your samsung phone.

I ordered a PC case that came in a box 1000 times larger then what this was shipped in for 10 dollar shipping but I ordered 5 of these for myself and co workers and shipping was 22 dollars.

I own a Samsung SCH-A930 phone and wanted to use my headphones for the music player instead of the cheapos that come with the Verizon phone music kit. For some reason the phone uses a 2.5mm plug for headphone outputs instead of the normal 3.5mm that the rest of the planet uses.

I originally bought a RadioShack plug style adapter that was awkward and failed to play in stereo. So I looked up the AETS43CSEB/STD. My phone wasn't listed as a compatible model, but the adapter does in fact work properly for plugging in normal headphones.

The problem is that the wire and connections are very small and flimsy feeling. This adapter was bought for PORTABLE music, hence the phone will be bumped and jostled while this plug is in use. I suspect that the adapter will fail in short order. I have no idea why they couldn't use heavier guage wire (nothing crazy, just the width of your normal headphone style wire would have been great).

To avoid the impending failure I used a twisty tie to connect the two plug pieces. Hopefully this will avoid any stress on the wire/plug connection points and extend the life of this product.

For portable electronics this WILL work, but expect to buy a new one every few months.
