The magnification of this unique pocket sized electronic video magnifier adjusts from 6X to 12X on its 4 inch monitor. This magnification swing along with CCTV capability set the PVO apart from every similar portable magnifier. The PVO is a huge help in everyday life to read text or view images. It is a great aid for people with visual impairments and elderly people with poor eyesight. The small size of the PVO makes it portable and handy to use outside the home. The unit weighs less than one pound with batteries and is therefore very easy to carry. The PVO arrives with a carrying case that can be clipped to a belt and a strap to hang around the neck. The PVO only has four buttons that enable the user to select the view of true color, inverted color as well as positive and negative black and white. This great tool also allows for varying contrast and light of the image displayed. The camera has two modes: macro and distance. The macro mode adjusts from 6 to 12 times. The PVO is also usable for writing. Place the tip of the pen on the paper under the camera. The PVO comes with a video input cable for connection to a TV. Example: on a 17 inch monitor the user can view up to 25X magnification. Then, you can use the PVO as a scanner and read the magnified print on your TV screen. The size of the letters are relative to the size of the TV monitor. You can also look at pictures from video cameras or digital cameras on the PVO screen. Powered by a wall plug or by 4 'AA' NI-MH rechargeable batteries that are included. Batteries are charged when the adaptor (INC) is connected to an electrical outlet. User can by-pass the recharging and go directly to regular 'AA' batteries if they don't have time to charge the unit or forget the cord when traveling.Electronics:
