I have had this notebook for a couple of days and so far the computer is great. The material (metal, screen, and keys) are made of a great material that doesn't really get heated really fast and irratate the hands. There is a 4 way scroll wheel and that is a nice fearture. Web cam can rotate 225 degrees, and it fits really nice in my lap. My last computer, an HP 17inch screen was really heavy and bulky, but this is a nice size.

Cons: the only con is really small, the headphone jack is in the front, so when i use the speakers, it doesn't look as nice and it gets in the way acouple of times.

After my Gateway toasted itself, I needed to pick up a good, cheap computer to replace it, and the Aspire fit the bill: for what I paid for it at Walmart ($740), I was able to get a lot of features that you would only see on higher end machines- which I'll sum up with the obligatory pros and cons:
Pros:
-Dual AMD Turion64 processors
-100 GB HDD
-Gig of RAM
-Looks nice
-Integrated camera niftyness
-Touchpad based navigation clicker is useful (little silver square between the mouse buttons)
-It's really light- about a pound or two lighter than other notebooks
Cons:
-New product line- might not have the support structure of Dell or HP
-The 100 GB HDD is actually two 50 GB HDDs- while that's a neat feature- the computer cannot recognize them as the same drive: not sure if I like that or not yet

*Update: After about 3 days I ran into an issue with the graphics card (software issue, not hardware), and had to get help from customer support: it turns out as I predicted that they have a pretty poor support structure. I ended up getting so fed up with it that I exchanged the entire computer for an HP.
