Does the job with annoyances.......2007-05-29

I decided to buy this cradle because I needed an extra one to sync with my work PC. I can charge and sync just fine but there are a couple things that I don't like about it. First, it seems like you have to push the phone down very hard for it to click into place. With my OEM docking cradle, the phone falls into it's place with little effort. I am always afraid of pushing too hard and breaking something with this one. That hasn't happened so far, but it always scares me.

Another thing that bothers me happens when you sync up your phone without the keyguard on. The sides of the cradle are high and press against the sides of your phone. So when the keyguard is not on and I dock my phone, I end up pressing the hotkey on the bottom right side of my phone which opens up my voicesignal program. Overall it gets the job done with no major issues, just keep in mind the little annoyances that come with it.

The cradle contains a male connector in its base. The phone, when placed in the cradle, lines up its female connector to the connector in the cradle. Pushing the phone into the cradle should complete the connection. It doesn't. The male connector, in the cradle, is merely pushed down into the base of the cradle, and no connection is made.

The battery charger should light up a red LED when charging and a green LED when charging is complete. The red LED is intermittent and the green LED doesn't light up at all. Apparently, the user knows the charging is completed when the red LED goes out.

In short, the product is of unacceptably poor quality. Furthermore, Bargaincell charges about $10 for shipping and handling. That's about half the cost of this product. Bargaincell does not pay the cost of shipping, to return any of their garbage. Bargaincell is no bargain!
