Great Laptop.......2007-05-12

This is definately a great laptop. Features a lot of great hardware for a cheap price. I game, graphic art(Photoshop), record live tv (tv tuner purchased seperately), and the computer has no problem handling these and expecially at multitasking. Very fast and efficient. This is the second laptop I've bought from HP, and both are working great. I had a bad expirence with Gateway once. Purchases a $2,000 laptop that later died after 11 months of use, and Gateway was slow at trying to help me, and by the time they got around to it, my 1 year warranty was up and they refused help.

i will say firstly that i did not purchase my computer from amazon, my beef is with HP not with any online sales companys. within 2 weeks my notebook quit working, it just wouldn't turn on no matter what. luckly i was within my instore warrenty and they replaced it with another brand new one. then 2 months later the disc drive breaks and i cant used it..no biggie i don't use it much anyway i thought. then a month later the entire hard drive is fried!! i dont use my notebook for anything other than email and typing notes for school. even though its not costing me to get these problems fixed i dont think i should have to deal with ANY problems this early on. my mom is buying a new computer next week and i've convinced her to go with sony viao based solely on my hp craptops problems. i wish i had listened to everyone that told me to spend the extra 500 for a pc that will truely last 5+ years.

ELECSURF -CAREFUL before buying your "new" computer with this people-ELECSURF.......2007-03-28

I placed my order with ELECSURF, hp pavillion noptebook, AMD procesos TL-52,2GB,Vista Premium and then received and e-mail from them saying:

"New OEM brown box. Quality tested HP DV9000 series laptop. Please note that the laptop comes with Windows XP Media Center OS (Vista ready). We provide 7-day refund, and 90-day defective exchange gurantee...."

Also they offered Windows Vista Premium, and thenm their order confirmation e-mail said that the notebook had installed Windows XP but that is Windows Vista ready??

They said in their order-confirmation e-mail..."we are honest so we have to say this". If you are honest why dont you say your product conditions when announcing your product in Amazon!!!! Why you announced a different product from what you are able to deliver!! But you expect us to pay what you offerd to pay for right?? Such a waste of time!!!

CAREFUL, You probably are buying a new product but it is not covered by the normally expected manufacturer's 1 -year-warranty!!!!

Nothing but trouble!.......2007-03-23

This computer crashed right out of the box. HP customer service is horrible. Nothing but broken promises. I've been fighting this for months. It been diagnosed with a bad motherboard by an HP service center out of the country, but they could not fix it. International warranty is joke because they make models for each country than can only be serviced in that country. Laptop will only function if I disable the wireless. The audio and video ports will not function. Video driver crashes Windows, as does wireless driver. The CD drive will not recognize a blank CD, and only works sometimes if I bypass Windows and use another burning program. HP keeps breaking promises about when I will recieve a functioning computer. The phone number to the 'Caseworker Hotline' cannot take messages to call back because the mailbox is full. This comppany has the worst customer service I have every encounted. I will never buy HP again.
