Ideal for dorm rooms, parties, or outdoor picnics, this GPX CD/radio boombox packs a nice array of features into an affordable package. As with many of GPX's stereo systems, simplicity is the hallmark here. The front of the boombox features two straightforward knobs that control the volume and AM/FM tuning. Listeners can also monitor basic CD track information through the two-digit LED display. Once users load a CD, CD-R, or CD-RW into the top tray, they can take advantage of the 16-track programming and the repeat play and song skip/search features. The system's satisfying audio performance stems from its pair of full-range speakers, which are equipped with mesh grilles for stylish protection. The boombox also employs a digital bass boost system (DBSS) to enhance the lowest frequencies, resulting in a richer, fuller overall sound. Additional features include a stereo headphone jack and AC/DC dual power (includes line cord).

Appropriately for a portable player, the boombox also runs on eight "C" batteries and includes a fold-down carrying handle for easy transport. The device carries a 90-day warranty on parts and labor.
