The single-execution core T1350 has a 1.86 GHz processor speed, 533 MHz system bus, and 1 MB L2 cache. It features a large 250 GB hard drive, 512 MB of installed RAM (2 GB maximum), ATI Radeon XPress 200M video card with up to 256 MB of shared memory, multi-format memory card reader, a wide variety of connectivity options (including both USB 2.0 and FireWire), digital audio output for home theater surround sound, and Windows XP Media Center 2005 operating system. The Basics

Hard Drive: The extra-large 250 GB Serial ATA (SATA) hard drive (7200 RPM) offers a wealth of storage space, perfect for storing a vast multimedia collection or for editing digital video. This SATA hard drive also quickens the pace with a higher speed transfer of data--akin to FireWire and USB 2.0.

Processor: The Intel Core Solo T1350 processor is built with the Mobile Intel 945PM Express chipset, and it has a 1.86 GHz processor speed, fast 533 MHz front-side bus (FSB), and large 2 MB L2 cache. (An L2, or secondary, cache temporarily stores data; and a larger L2 cache can help speed up your system's performance. The FSB carries data between the CPU and RAM, and a faster front-side bus will deliver better overall performance.) It delivers enhanced performance for today's demanding applications such as CAD tools, 3D and 2D modeling, video editing, digital music, digital photography and gaming. And Intel's Smart Cache technology enables smarter, more efficient cache and bus design for enhanced performance, responsiveness and power savings.

Memory: The 1 GB of installed RAM (PC4200, 2 x 512 MB, 533 MHz) will handle multimedia tasks such as photo editing and digital music management, but it might not be enough for higher end video editing. Unfortunately, due to this PC's compact size, this maximizes this desktop's RAM capacity.

CD/DVD Drive: Offering the latest in DVD writing technology, this multiformat DVD/CD drive is compatible with writing both DVD+ and DVD- disc formats as well as dual-layer (DL) DVD+/-R discs, which can store up to 8.5 GB of data. It features 4x DVD-R DL Write Once, 8x DVD+R DL Write Once, 16x DVD+R/-R, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 40x CD-R, and 32x CD-RW write speeds, as well as 16x DVD-ROM, and 40x CD-ROM read speeds.

This LightScribe DVD+/-RW drive lets you laser-etch silkscreen quality text and images on to CDs and DVDs . Your software, PC and discs work together for a no-hassle way to burn just the labels you want. After you burn content, just flip the disc over, reinsert and burn your label--anything from a simple title to a full-disc work of art.

Video is powered by the ATI Radeon XPress 200M IGP video/graphics card, which delivers excellent 3D graphics. It delivers 256 MB of dedicated video RAM (separate with the system memory). ATI's HyperMemory technology allows the chipset to run in either Unified Memory Architecture (UMA) mode or with dedicated frame buffer memory to enhance graphics performance. It also offers an integrated audio card that's compatible with an 8-speaker surround sound system and a digital audio output for connecting to a home theater receiver.
