Good, but next time I will go with the larger plan.......2007-04-25

I love T-Mobile. I say that as a disclaimer as I have been with several different carriers and most of them suck. (Rhymes with Sing you...) I even left T-Mobile (worst three months of my life) and had to come groveling back. Gyaa! I hated that. Fortunately they didn't gloat. The entire T-Mobile staff has always been extremely friendly (it's scary actually) and helpful.

This specific plan caught my eye as it was cheap, and it sounded like a good deal. The problem lies in the fact that you really have to plan out your five "favorites." I made the mistake of picking the people I liked the most, not the people I talked to the most. That sent my first month's bill soaring. The good news is that on the first of every month (or thereafter) you get a "do-over" where you can change your mind on who your favorite people are (it's just like being back in elementary school! :-)

I would *strongly recommend* spending the extra ten bucks a month (you won't notice it - really) and getting the 600 minute plan, as you will be surprised how fast 300 minutes goes, even if you are extremely careful about using your cell phone: you DON'T want to pay overages - that gets expensive VERY fast. As to the rest: the reception is excellent. I have had no trouble getting at least 3 of 5 bars pretty much anywhere (unlike my previous 3 carriers), and as I mentioned earlier, you really just cannot beat T-Mobile's customer support service. The "can you hear me now?!!" factor is not an issue, as the sound clarity and volume have been far superior to what I am used to. And as for dropped calls, the only time that happens is when I accidentally smush the buttons with my oversized fingers (doh!)

The final total of the monthly bill is reasonable, but not fantastic. Expect the various regulatory agencies to tack on another 30-40% of your bill, but that is the cost of having a phone nowadays I guess. So far I have received no surprises on my bill, which is a great relief. All around a good experience.
