Features include three-mode X-bass for enhanced sound, random/repeat play, microphone input, and an optical input for recording. Editing features include Divide, Combine, Erase, and Move, with 100-character title capability and record-level control. A synchronized recording system makes for perfect minidisc compilations, and the sampling rates are 48 kHz, 32 kHz, and 44.1 kHz. A shock-resistant memory storage system keeps discs from skipping.
