The Citizen CD-230 personal CD player delivers high-quality sound for a rock-bottom price, making it the perfect fit for listeners who value reliability over bells and whistles. The calling card of any Citizen device is simplicity: the CD player includes a set of standard skip/search, play/pause, and programming buttons, all of which are conveniently located for easy operation. Listeners will also delight in the crispness of the programming buttons, which let them repeat individual tracks, repeat the entire disc, or shuffle the tracks randomly. The CD player even offers a 20-track programmable memory for creating custom soundtracks, along with a "hold" function that prevents users from accidentally turning the unit on or off during workouts or while storing the device in a backpack or purse.
Appropriately for a CD player frequently used during workouts, the CD-230 also boasts 60 seconds of anti-shock protection. The feature guards against bumps and jostling caused by stumbles or drops while jogging, or even speed bumps and potholes while on road trips. When users tire of listening to CDs, they can turn to the digital AM/FM tuner, which offers 10 radio presets (5 AM and 5 FM) that make it quick and easy to find a favorite program or station.
