Philips delivers the latest in portable music with the slim, jog-proof AX5121 Personal CD Player. Designed for ease of use while you're listening on the go, the player is sleek and durable, with a rugged body and 45-second electronic skip protection. Philips addressed the biggest weakness of many portable CD players -- the thin, sometimes reedy sound -- by outfitting the AX5121 with a digital dynamic bass boost system, which optimizes the lowest frequencies at any volume.

The AX5121 includes all the most basic CD player functions and a few extras, including repeat play, shuffle play, 30-track programming, intro scan, and hold and resume mode. In addition, it plays CDs, CD-Rs, and CD-RWs for up to 25 hours on a pair of standard AA batteries. Listeners will know when the batteries are low thanks to the indicator on the LCD screen, which also displays the current track and time remaining, among other data.

The D807's sliding design hides the phone's number pad under the display until you need to make a call. The big 176 x 220 display supports up to 262,000 colors -- plenty of resolution and color depth for your videos and photos. A five-way center control button is positioned below the display, as are shortcut and selection keys. The phone's 1.3 megapixel camera is housed behind the screen. There's also a connector for a stereo 2.5 mm headset.

<B>Calling Features</B>
With 18 MB of internal memory, the D807 is designed to hold all the contacts, phone numbers and addresses you can throw at it. A call list remembers your most recent missed, received and dialed calls, and in addition to a vibrating alert, the D807 supports polyphonic ringtones and MP3-based music ringtones. You can also download additional MP3 music ringtones from Cingular's MEdia Net service. A speakerphone lets you talk hands-free while you're doing other things, and picture caller ID lets you assign a photo to specific callers. Similarly, a ringer ID lets you assign ringtones to callers. Speaker independent voice dialing makes it easy to speak the name of a contact and dial it instantly. And lastly, the phone's Bluetooth connectivity means that your favorite Bluetooth headset is fully compatible.

<B>Messaging, Internet, and Tools</B>
The D807 has all the bases covered when it comes to messaging. Support is built in for sending and receiving text, video, graphics and sound via messages. When used in combination with the phone's built-in camera, MMS opens up a whole new world of messaging fun. Messaging clients for AOL, MSN, Yahoo!, and ICQ are included. Meanwhile, the phone's email client lets you stay on top of your emails when you're on the go.

T9 text entry, which is a technology that makes it easier for people to enter words and text on handsets, is built into the unit-- a plus for mobile text messaging users.

A number of handy productivity tools are bundled with the D807 including a voice memo recorder, an alarm clock, a calculator with unit and currency converters, a calendar, and a to-do list.

The D807's built-in 1.3 megapixel camera captures stills and video to the phone's internal memory, or to an optional microSD memory card. The still camera features white balance and brightness controls, as well as a multi-shot mode and a self timer.

Worked well when it was all in one piece........2007-05-25

We had this phone since Nov. 2006. The phone broke in 2 this week, the top portion broke from the bottom portion. So no problem, since there is a 1 year warranty on the phone right? Wrong!!! Samsung says the phone can't be repaired, and the warranty is only for repairing the phone, not replacing it. They said we will have to BUY a new phone. So beware when buying Samsung products.

Great Phone - So far.......2007-05-08

This phone looks great has good features and is easy to use. The design of the phone is great. The numbers when dialing are large and easy to read on the screen. Entering new contact numbers is very easy. I got this phone after using a Motorola Razr which was up till this phone my favorite. The battery was really good on my Razr and the durability was excellent. That is why I didn't give this phone 5 stars at this time it still remains to be seen how durable the phone is and that is very important. If this phone can hold up over time it will be the best phone I've ever had.

The Best Phone Ever.......2007-04-24

I just recieved this phone today for a birthday present. I was upgrading from the Sony Ericsson Z525a. I have no bad comments for this phone. It can hold a lot of pictures and music when you have a memory card (which i have). I would recommend this phone to anybody who wants something different from the razr (which everybody at my school has) and something that is easy to operate. It sounds like an Mp3 Player and has excellent call volume. This is a phone that everybody should have!

Awesome Phone!.......2007-04-06

I got this new phone for christmas and I love it so much. It is so pretty and I get so many compliments on it. The screen is big and bright, and the sound is great. The buttons are easy to use and not too small and it is easy to text. Cool MP3 player and it records audio great, nice, clear speakerphone. The only annoying things is that everytime you press and button it beeps but you can turn it off. The one bad thing that you can't fix is you can't use audio that you've recorded for a ringtone. But other than that this is a GREAT phone. I recommend it for anyone. 5 stars!
