The D-Link DMP-CD100 is a MP3 based CD player that plays both CD's with MP3 files and audio CD's. It is portable, easy to use, and uses cutting edge technology that provides over 10 hours of non-stop music in a single unit. The DMP-CD100 is targeted at MP3 music enthusiasts. The DMP-CD100 plays ordinary audio CD's and CD-Recordable compact disks. It is compatible with the MP3 (MPEG 1 Audio Layer 3) standard, which means that it supports bit-rates from 32 up to 320 Kbps. The 1 Bit D/A (Digital to Analog) converter and the Digital filter that uses eight times oversampling provides high quality audio output. Since the DMP-CD100 is compatible with audio CD's, it provides all of the programming modes that are standard on portable CD players. Repeat Track Mode plays the same song repeatedly. Repeat All Mode plays the whole CD repeatedly. Program Mode allows the user to program up to twenty-two individual songs for a custom playlist. Random Mode randomly chooses a playlist using the whole CD. The Bass Boost feature enhances bass sound for enhanced listening enjoyment. The Hold feature disables the use of all of the buttons so that the user cannot accidentally change any function. The T.Digit button provides quick access to high numbered tracks by allowing the user to input a 3-digit track number to skip to. The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) displays status of playback and functions. The DMP-CD100 also provides 10 seconds of Electronic Shock Protection (ESP) in audio CD mode to ensure constant playing without skipping. The DMP-CD100 provides two (2) outputs. The Audio jack connects to the provided earphones. The Line out jack allows connection to a separate audio player for recording or playing through speakers. The headphone jack is a standard 3.5" stereo jack.

Searching through all those files can be a chore, so D-Link includes intro scan and a quick access button for three-digit track searches. This combination CD/MP3 player also features a 10-second antiskip buffer that grants some protection against motion-related skips, while its hold switch prevents accidental shutoff or setup change. The LCD displays playback status, program function, and battery life. Playback modes include repeat track or disc, random play, and a 22-track programmable memory.
Compatible with the MP3 standard, the DMP-CD100 supports bit-rates from 32 Kbps to 320 Kbps. Its design includes a 1-bit digital-to-analog audio converter with an integrated digital filter, producing eight times oversampling playback for high-quality audio output.
The DMP-CD100 features two stereo outputs, allowing you to connect it to an external audio component. D-link also includes earphones and an AC adapter. This unit runs on two AA alkaline or rechargeable ni-cad batteries. It's backed by a one-year parts-and-labor warranty.
