It's been given a thin, lightweight, traverse mechanism to minimize the influence of outside vibrations and a floating rubber construction to further help absorb vibrations. However, if a shock does occur, the 40-second backup memory will kick in, and your music will continue to play as if nothing happened. This gives you near-perfect, skip-free listening.
