Panasonic brings a beautiful design and a wealth of features to this affordable Personal CD Player. One of the world's lightest players, it boasts a full 40 seconds of shock protection using Panasonic's advanced ASM 4.0 technology. You also get rechargeable nickel-metal hydride AAA batteries (3 hours charge, 8 hours play) - but don't worry, if you forget to charge them, you can use AAA alkalines. Plus, to really extend play time add a pair of AA with the external battery case. It provides extended play time (using full AAA+AA battery capacity) of 50 hours, ensuring you'll have music for days. A new chassis combines an ultra-thin body with a vibration resistant anti-shock mechanism and a heat-resistant polycarbonate body. Pop-up eject system makes changing discs even easier than usual. A digital servo system helps the unit maintain tracking, even in difficult circumstances. Normal, S-XBS (Super Extra Bass System), and Live EQ modes let you customize your tunes to your liking, and Panasonic's exclusive MASH 1-Bit D/A conversion system ensures all your CDs will sound great.

Panasonic has designed a supercompact, lightweight CD player with the SLCT470. Its vibration-resistant Anti-Shock System reduces skips before they even get to the memory buffer. It has an improved set of error-correction chips offering +100 percent and -75 percent error correction. It uses a digital servo in conjunction with a lighter and faster spindle motor that offers fast retracking speed.
The SLCT470 has a slide lock to open the top cover, and a heat-resistant polycarbonate body. For the discerning listener, Panasonic has added three preset equalizers. There is a normal setting for regular listening, a Super Extra Bass System, and a live option for more spacious 3-D sound.
An assortment of features includes bass boost, programming of up to 24 tracks, a built-in battery recharger, long battery life, repeat one and all tracks, skip and search, memory and recall keys, as well as a power-saving auto power-off button and "hold" switch. This model includes adjustable headphones, an AC adapter, and 2 AAA rechargeable batteries.
