Ideal for active CD listeners, the Philips AX500617 personal CD player features fourth-generation, 45-second electronic skip protection for continuous music play and up to five times faster shock recovery than conventional systems have. Additional convenience features include CD-R/RW compatibility and power-saving technology that extends battery playing time to 22 hours with two regular AA alkaline batteries.

Aside from being versatile, this CD player delivers topnotch sound quality using a one-bit digital-to-analog converter and digital dynamic bass boost. CD playback features include 30-track programmable, shuffle, repeat, and intro scan modes, as well as CD music search that searches the CD at high speed while still producing low-volume sound so you know exactly when to stop.

Auto power-off, hold, and resume are also featured in the AX500617, along with an easy-to-read LCD screen that shows CD track, time, bass, CD functions, and battery status. Over-the-head stereo headphones, a car kit, an AC/DC adapter, and a belt clip are also included.
