The Aiwa XP-V706C is a portable CD player which will play audio CDs, plus CD-R/RW discs. With the electronic anti-shock system you can choose between three settings: ten second memory, forty second memory, or cancel. Depending on where you set the anti-shock system, the two AA batteries which operate the player will last between twenty and twenty-one hours. With the included AC adaptor recharging batteries is an easy chore. Simply insert the rechargeable batteries, (not included) plug in the AC adapter and select charge. You can also power the player with the AC adapter. With the twenty-four track memory, it is possible to individualize a CD play list, perfect for a motivating run or walk. Other features include: hold, resume, bass boost, repeat and random play.

The build quality and power of this computer is top notch. It was substantially faster than my desktop. The NVIDIA 7600 video card w/256 mb of dedicated memory makes a big difference. It is far superior to any computer using "shared" memory. The laptop is super quiet and to my surprise stays cool. I'm not sure how they managed that. It comes with 4 USB 2.0 slots, multi-card reader, expansion slots and more. The wireless capability is really amazing. I live in an apt complex and it was picking up networks all over the place. The display is simply gorgeous with no light bleed like the Dell 1705 series and is great for DVD movies. It even comes with a remote control. This is my first computer with the core duo processor and I didn't really know what to expect since the MHz was less than my desktop P4 processor but....WOW what a difference. 3DMARK scored it about 4 times faster. The dual architecture really allows you to work with more than one application at once. I highly recommend this. At less than 1400 here on Amazon it is truly a feature laden BARGAIN.
