The player uses AAA batteries (two alkalines are actually included with the unit), though RCA doesn't say how long they'll last in the unit. Also included are over-the-ear headphones. It can play 3.0" CDs without an adapter and features Headphone Jack with Volume Control, multifunction 6-Digit LCD with ESP, Battery Life indicators and Smart Resume. It remembers track location when power was shut off and starts at that point when power is returned.
